I stayed here one night before leaving from the nearby airport. Nice B&B, managed by friendly Silvia and family, where I found a cosy, clean room and a good breakfast before . Also, the transport to the airport was included in the price of the room, so you don't have to pay for the cab. I can definitely recommend this B&B!!!

A great value location with Isabell who is an extremely friendly and helpful person. We had all the help we needed in planning the rest of our holiday as we went off travelling in Costa Rica. This was a great starting point as very close to the airport, with taxi fair paid for by them. The rooms were clean & comfortable & we had a nice hot shower too - definitely recommended ;-)

I'm a former backpacker, Lonely Planet kind of girl and this is one of the best places I have ever stayed in Costa Rica. This was our first trip to Costa Rica as a family with 2 kids, ages 2 and 4. We arrived at midnight in San Jose after 16 hours of traveling. Isabel had sent me some travel details prior to our trip. I handed that information to the taxista and we found ourselves at Vida Tropical within minutes. A staff member met us at the gate and paid for our taxi. Completely stress-free. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Generous, hospitable, breakfast. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent value. Great way to start our trip.

The Vida Tropical is a simple, clean and very hospitable place to stay, especially if you have just arrived in Costa Rica or are just departing. It is convenient to the airport but has a certain rustic charm and warmth which makes you feel at home. Isabel was outstanding in her capacity to help with any questions (ATM's, directions) and she also volunteers tips for your stay in the country. Breakfast was excellent and provides you with sustenance to start the day on a positive note. If you are looking for somewhere convenient, personable and welcoming then I recommend Vida Tropical unreservedly.
