I usually stay at Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express and am very happy with them. This one is the exception. The non-smoking room with king size bed was clean and nice but the price was more than I have paid for a Holiday Inn, even the New York JFK airport one. The price and the horrible breakfast experience make it not worth it! The coffee was bad, the cereal was stale, the biscuits were rock hard, the scrambled eggs were cold, the bananas were over-ripe and bruised and the yogurt which is usually full sized and great flavors was the snack size, one flavor. There was not a breakfast hostess like usual to tend to things, in fact there was no one in sight. I am a priority club member and am supposed to get a USA Today under my door. This did not happen. Overall, not worth the money!

I came into the hotel 2 people at front desk a young man and young lady. The young man said can I help you after he finished helping another, yet the young lady was sitting there and did not offer to help me and she didn't have anyone was just sitting there, then a man came in she helped him before me, no one had a name tag so had no clue whom I was talking to. NO personality they were not helpful, did not even give me a password for the internet, or tell me were elevators were or about breakfast. the rooms were clean yet the carpet was stained with bleach marks and mold on the wall by the outlet, yes I observe this stuff. Overall the hotel was just okay, I would of got better service at Microtel up the street

Visited Tuscaloosa on a business trip for two days and stayed the night at this HI Express. Besides having many restaurant choices nearby and being within minutes of the University it was a very clean hotel. The check in was easy and the staff was pleasant. If I have any further overnight stays in this area I will surely be staying at this hotel.

Stayed here on a family getaway weekend. Desk staff was very helpful with checkin and local info. Beds were very comfortable and room was spotless. We complimented the maid on the condition of the room. The dining area was very busy, but the woman in charge was very efficient in keeping the breakfast items well stocked.
