I stayed here for about three weeks in August of 2011. Amenities included a full size refridgerator with freezer and ice maker. Important in Alabama summers. Room also had a micro and four burner stove. No oven. Mandatory A/C ran within the tolerable noise level. I hope some day they will invent the silent A/C.
Business center on first floor was great although only two PC's. Free internet. Free laundry , No free breakfast. Outdoor patio with BBQ was popular. Has a pool , excercise room with treadmills. A small shop had TV dinners and other microwavable meals and snacks. DVD rental at front desk.
I had a room over the patio, that would be rooms 101, 201 , 301 or 401, a bit noisy on Saturday night. Otherwise room was quiet and very comfortable. Bed, mattress were very good. Bath was nice, clean and well equipped with soap, shampoo. Towels were excellent. Maid service only once a week.
Location on Skyland and McFarland was very good. Close to freeway ,easy access to downtown or the University via I-20. Many resturants close by although mosty fast food. Wheelchair accessible and pet friendly. Grocery store across the street, although highway is not pedestrian friendly. Guest appreciation day once a week offers free dinners or snacks.
Room Tip: Consider avoiding rooms over the patio or the pool if you want quiet. Great staff, friendy and help...
