My wife and I were in Syalcauga visiting friends and they put us up at the Holiday Inn Express. Even though the temperatures were hitting 100 plus outside, our room was cool and comfortable. The mattress was nice and firm and we both slept like babies. The complimentary breakfast was very good, although I was looking forward to the self mad waffle machine which I have seen at several other hotels, but the Express did not have one. The indoor pool area could use a little something. It was just kind of bland and somewhat uninviting. All in all, however we enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the 12:00 check-out time so we could sleep in and recharge before we had to pack up.

Staying here for a class reunion! Clean, friendly, and surprisingly quiet even w/ several ball teams staying here! Good HIE breakfast. Would stay here again!

My father recently passed away. He was originally from Sylacauga, and it was his wish to be buried there. We had many family members coming into town, therefore we needed a place to stay. We occupied a total of 9 rooms. The GM, LaPrell Sprayberry, and AGM, Lisa West, were very helpful and compassionate.

After the viewing of the body, we all gathered in the dining room there at the hotel for a meal that was catered by a local restaurant. Lisa and LaPrell were so generous in letting us use the dining area for the family to be together. The young woman who was on duty for the evening shift was also very polite and helpful.

Although our stay at the Holiday Inn was brought about because of sadness, your staff made us feel very loved and provided us with a wonderful place to stay.

All the family also enjoyed the morning breakfast. Thanks so much!

A great place to stay while on your way through Alabama. It's not located in a heavily populated area but a perfect place to recharge the batteries while on a long trip. Friendly staff & clean facilities. Would definitely stay there again.
