I only stayed here for one night at the end of my Chinese vacation and really don't know why I chose this apartment hotel.....what a waste for a single traveller for one night! The apartment was beautiful and the location although a little out of the way was straight across the road from a metro station on Line 4 so that presented no problem whatsoever. There are lots of shops and restaurants around to suit most tastes, although most were Western.
The hotel was smashing and I could not fault it. Reception was extremely helpful and everyone's English was perfect. I think this was a case of you get what you pay for.
Check in was smooth and faultless and I was shown to my room by the admissions clerk.
The apartment is very modern and had a well stocked and fully equipped kitchen. Unless you were staying here for a long time though I am not too sure how often you would use it. It is so cheap to eat out. The bathroom and toiletries were first class and the room had a bath and separate shower. The bedroom was lovely with its own TV. The bed was quite high with lots of pillows to choose from. Nice bed linen too. Lounge was nice and as I joined the loyalty scheme got free in room wi fi. The doorman arranged my taxi and they held on to my suitcase without a hitch.
My only minor niggle was that I could not understand why I could not get any hot water in the bathroom and shower. To me it seemed that the taps/indicators were the wrong way round. Once I sussed this out though all was fine! I would stay here again, but obviously if I was staying long enough to make better use of the facilities.

We needed space and this hotel delivered. But that's as far as it went-great grocer a block away at bottom of dept store but didn't know until end of stay, a/c not great in 100+ degree weather, washer had no English translation and was not intuitive to figure out AND no one c/translate for us at hotel incl engineering, c/not get staff to understand we needed dishwasher detergent either-the non English speaking was a barrier to a superior stay. Food was not good either.

All excellent..staff, service, facilities, room, value...! The apartment has everything we need! No breakfast charge on my girl of 10 years old while another hotel in Hangzhou we stayed a few days later charged her half rate. We may not want to stay in "hotel" again if we have a choice!

We will probably stay with this apartment if we visit Shanghai again! Good job, Derek and all the staff!

Located in the new Pudong area, it's at very close proximity to Line 2 and Line 9 metros as well as ex-tallest buildings of the world, Shanghai Financial Center (Bottle opener is what they call it locally!) and Oriental Pearl Tower. This apartment offers everything and in a luxurious fashion. Rooms are very intelligently done so as to provide the sense of airiness while accommodating all the necessary items for the stay. For the pure vegetarian, it is difficult in Shanghai and hence the completely furnished kitchen was a big big help. While the cost is on the higher side, it is worth it. Remember to carry washing powder and shampoo (hotel one does not suit me!) along with you as it will be difficult to find in the nearby 7x11 stores. Wifi was not available in the room until the last day of checkout. As mentioned by other reviewers, there is no restaurant in the hotel. But the Pudong road by the side of the hotel has lots of restaurants including McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut etc. Breakfast can be quite boring as there are the same varieties everyday.

Experience of this apartment was excellent and will be the choice for the next visit.
