We chose this hotel due to its proximity to my husband's business meeting venue. It was a superb hotel, the seemingly not-so-friendly reception staff were helpful when needed. The room was outstanding both in size, comfort and cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was outstanding ,offerinf the freshest food Western-style, Chinese, Japanese and Indian.... who wants to eat bacon and eggs when you can have freshly made dim-sum??? Lovely, lovely, lovely! If we return to Shangahi we would definitely return to this hotel. Also wonderful gym,indoor pool, health bar . Had very good suits made by the tailor in the lobby, and excellent value gifts in the gift shop, if I had known I would have left all my shopping till the last!!

I stayed here on my first trip to Shanghai and was very pleased with every aspect of the hotel. The staff could not have been more polite and every request was met with ease.

We enjoyed the room, the staff, the lobby area and the breakfast area.

Its location is great, just out of traffic jams as all over the downtown Shanghai. Out from the middle ring road tunnel and a u-turn and you are home of sort. Surrounded by Fudan Univercity and to the right side a short distance away are shops with delicious food and things to browse at night. The manager, the reception staffs were very efficient and even the friendly porters speak english. The coffee house staffs were very attendant and immediately served whatever we asked. Pleasant surroundings at the lobby and the nice washrooms there as well.Wish I had more time to make use of the other amenities.
