i stayed in this hotel for about 19 days or so... quite long. i would summarize:
The good: near to my workplace, spacious clean rooms (albeit a bit old at places). Guests can use the gym of the hotel opposite (same company) and people are in general friendly, even they completely lack training. Laundry service is priced reasonably (20 RMB for a shirt) and turnaround is quick.
The bad: hotel employees will ring your bell all the time, for example at 8:30am in the morning to make up your room, or 4:30 pm to bring you a paper, or to replenish the mini bar... Speaking of bar, the hotel does not have a nice bar or place to hangout in the evening... You have to cross the road and use the bar of the hotel opposite if you want an ok bar. Internet is free and unencrypted (good), but wi-fi only works 50% of the time and the cable based internet is so slow... 112 kb/s is the highest I could get which is frustrating when trying to work.
The ugly: Breakfast is nothing short of a complete disaster, as mentioned in the other reviews. It is at 3 star level at the very best. The hotel obviously has tried to cut costs as much as possible for their breakfast and it really shows. There is just no quality. Yoghurt, coffee, bread, the warm dishes... all are relatively terrible. Your best bet is to ask for an omelet at the egg station, quite nice. Besides watermelon there is no fresh fruit, only bowls of canned fruits... Why?
