Rooms were fair, restaurants were fair, bar was fair, business center was fair, internet access was the worst I've ever seen anywhere in the world. Do yourself a favor - stay somewhere else.

stayed one night at this property which i believe is owned by the Huana group (and its hotel directly across the street in which i also stayed and will review later). we had an executive suite which was contemporary and clean. the lobby and food service are okay, nothing outstanding. the buffett breafast was average. the eighth floor where i stayed was inviting and modern as was the room. again, the beds in china to me are very firm which takes some getting used to. this hotel is not near downtown or the bund or tourist areas but everything is an inexpensive taxi ride away. for the money, this is a good hotel but next time to shanghai i will stay closer to the tourist areas.

We stayed at the Warner Inn / Warner Fashion Hotel (there seems to be two entries on TA for this hotel) for two nights. We were going to stay for the duration of our trip (4 nights) but because of it's inconvenient location, we had to move to the French Concession.

This hotel was not expensive at all - 600RMB/night, which we found to be incredibly reasonable. The room we had was spacious and decorated in soothing tones. The bathroom had a window overlooking into the bedroom - so this is not a room to share with mere friends.

I was with my fiance, but even though our room was for two nights, they only provided us with one free breakfast - and that's exactly what I mean, one breakfast for one person for one day. My fiance had to pay 70RMB for his breakfast, which was what we considered highway robbery! However, they had a wide variety of choices for breakfast, including freshly made eggs, dandan mian (noodles) and other Western and Asian things.

The one big negative about this place is its location. It is at least 45 minutes away from ANYTHING - French Concession, The Bund, etc. They don't provide shuttles of any sort - you will have to tax it everywhere.
