especially the breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever seen. But also the service is great, they have a good gym too.
The choice in the restaurant is a bit limited though.
The hotel is next to the big Christian church which is worth visiting. There is also a great shopping centre nearby - one more for electronic devises and one for clothes. Both have a good range reaching from bargains to expensive brands.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on a business trip to Shanghai. Paid 70 Euros including taxes and breakfast. Transfer in a car was Euro 65.

Was looking for a hotel in which I would have English speaking staff and was close to the main business area. Found the match with this hotel. Its walking distance to many of the main business buildings in Xuhui and the subway station is less than 200 meters on Cao Xi road.

The breakfast was good with a mix of western and local dishes. Room was comfortable with complimentary internet access and a desktop in the room. I somehow was unable to connect to the wifi on my iphone.

On check out, the concierge told me the approx taxi fare i would need to pay in front of the cab driver and made sure that the driver understood I needed to go to the Maglev station.

Would recommend to business travellers looking for western comforts in Shanghai at an affordable price.

- stayed for two days. this hotel is located centrally and just few metres away you can catch underground metro. this is surrounded by lots of malls & markets.

Breakfast was ok.

Hotel has strong chienese inclination in terms of food & service. Service needs to improve. staff does not know dealing international customers. not so courteous.
Staffs are like unprofessional sort.

rooms were very small. room is full of bed. you can imagine the size of room.

there are some good points. their cable tv turns into intenet browser. one can you it to check mail. heavy content websites was not working.

We stayed at the Jianguo Hotel in Shanghai for the final two nights of our China tour. The hotel was a typical, large business-style hotel with a busy lobby and bar.
The hotel was a short walk from a busy shopping area with a life-saving Starbucks Coffee shop with a lovely upstairs terrace overlooking the chaos below.
Didn't realise during our stay how close we were to the French Concession as we would have walked there had we known.
As this was the seventh and final hotel of our tour, by this time our minds kept drifting towards the long journey home, so perhaps didn't enjoy our stay as much as we would have if it had been earlier in the trip.
