Spent 4 nights there during expo2010. Efficient checkin, smallish room, comfy bed, rather friendly staff.

Nice sauna & spa, (pool not included in my rate). Liked their Viennese restaurant. Breakfast was western & eastern.

Did not like the highway passing by very closely.Had to walk some 10 min to the metro.

I stayed in this hotel for seven nights. I found the hotel on the internet. The hotel's location is very close to the centre of the city. By walking ten minutes there are two subway stations, on the north west Jingan Temple and on the soth east South Shaanxi Road stations. South Shaanxi station is on the 1st line and Jingan Temple station is on the 2nd line. The hotel is also close to the shopping streets; Nanjing Road and Huaihai Road, these streets are in walking distance. The staff was very helpful, but poor in English language. One of them was very good in English. The room was clean and comfortable. The change rates of the hotel were very good. The only problem with this hotel was that my reservation was for seven days in a non smoking floor room, but I stayed in a non smoking floor room for six nights, then they took me a room on smoking floor for one night...

Hi -- I stayed in this hotel in May of 2010. I am a seasoned traveller and I am not a fussy person in any way and either is my girlfriend, but this place drove me so mad that I had to write a review. Allow me to explain - the hotel itself is overpriced, not just for the rooms but for everything else - food / drink / internet. The quality of the rooms are poor - the one we stayed in was supposedly a delux room but it certainly didn't feel like one. The bathroom was small, not particularly tidy and not particularly clean. On the night I stayed there both myself and my girlfriend were devoured by mosquitoes in the room - it gets worse - neither the refrigerator or the air conditioning was working.

During the night as I could not sleep I went downstairs to ask for a glass of wine thinking it might help put me to sleep - the wine is approx 8 euro per glass ( kind of steep) and was corked - horrendous stuff. You would wash your car with it, it was that bad. As the language barrier is so large it is basically not worth complaining, as no one understands you either way.

The next morning when checking out I told the manager on duty (Tony) about the problems we had - mosquitos, fridge and air conditioning. He replied simply that he would pass my comments onto the appropriate person. I told him I could not care less about whether he passed them on or not - and that I wanted a significant discount - i was offered the equivalent of a 9 euro discount ----- the original price for the room was over 100 euro. Needless to say, I will never go back to this hotel, and I would recommend that you give this place a miss. It is a total dump.

This was a good hotel to stay in; we didn't eat here so cannot rate it on anything but the room. The room was a good size, design and effort had gone in to it, tea and coffee facilities were on hand - and i was only a 2km walk to the Bund. It was polished to perfection, looked and felt expensive, had a decent sized bedroom and bathroom and was clean. I would recommend a stay here - but there are many more to choose from too.....
