Never heard of Kerry Hotel but of course I knew the Shangri-La brand. Well, exceeded all my expections. From the service to the accomodations - amazing! If you like beer, they even have a brewery bar.

Spent 3 nights in the hotel. They cater for Western needs. Well worth taking the executive rooms as you get a more private area on floor 3 to have breakfast and other meals. The rooms are spacious, with good Internet connection. (no problem using Skype to the UK).wet room and bath, plenty of accessories. Brilliant taxi service, with interpreters at front door.£4 for a taxi to downtown, £2 to the 'Fake' market. English spoken all through the hotel, very friendly staff, eager to help your every request.

If you need to be on the Pudong side of Shanghai, and especially if you need to attend an event at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, this is the perfect business hotel to spoil yourself in while staying in Shanghai. While maintaining the Shangri-la standard of excellence, this Kerry hotel is also hip, modern yet cozy and caters perfectly to today's business person who wants to be pampered between hectic meetings and exhibitions. The rooms are large, comfortable, suitably 4/5 star and the free wi-fi always welcome. And, very very quiet. Equally, if not more, important to many of us is the gym...and this is probably the best hotel gym I've ever had the pleasure (if you can call exercising a pleasure!) of using. Breakfast buffet excellent. I usually use hotel club rooms but was in a rush so didnt' bother, but the buffet/restaurants prices quite reasonable for the calibre of the hotel. My favorite by far was The Brew, which has six of its own hand-crafted beers (if you are based in a country w/local micro-breweries not a big deal, but as we live in Asia, finding a good onsite-brewed pale ale is just heaven! And the glasses they used were so fabulous--imported from Australia--that I had to buy a few to take home). The hotel is also located next to a mall for any additional shopping spare time. So nice to have such a fantastic hotel next to an exhibition center!

Just spent three nights at the Kerry in Pudong...very well executed full service hotel adjacent to the HUGE expo center. Rooms, restaurants, shops and other facilities are superb. Fitness center and pool not to be believed. Indoor access to shopping mall. All in all, a winner in Shanghai.
