Words cannot describe one of the Best Spots I have been to in a long time!!!!!!

My wife and I recently visited the Eastern Shore and stayed at The Grand. We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Although parts of the resort are dated from the exterior, it is a very relaxing and refined play to stay. The rooms were clean and well appointed with a larger than average bathroom and flat screen television. The view from our room of the grounds was outstanding and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the rocking chairs. We also visited the Lakewood Golf Club and had an evening meal with friends at The Colony -- which was outstanding. For the rate we paid, this was an outstanding place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

If you really want to go "all out" and go back in time to a quieter more relaxed era... this is the place. Where you can still have "afternoon tea", a stroll through the gardens or along the shore with the sweet scent of semi-tropical blossoms waifting about. And to top things off... the food and the service is as good as the setting.
