My husband and I have been to Orange Beach many times and mostly stayed in condos. This Christmas we drove down and booked a hotel. This Holiday Inn was absolutely perfect! You are close to everything, it's located ON the beach, it has a nice pool (little small, but nice) and their free breakfast buffet is wonderful! The breakfast buffet had everything from pancakes, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, donuts, cinnamon rolls, fruit, biscuits, cereal, flavored coffees, etc. We both thought it was well worth the money and had a very nice stay! It's not super fancy as it is a Holiday Inn, but a lot more than we expected. They have a small workout facility, a very nice lobby, and very friendly staff. If you're looking for a place that is not overpriced and will give you good bang for your buck I would definitely suggest this Holiday Inn.

“Made to feel like a VIP”

The staff at check in was very welcoming and even better, we were upgraded to a ocean front suite. With the balcony door open we could hear the surf and experience the breeze. The room was clean and comfortable with an upgraded flat screen tv, mini fridge, microwave, sofa, two club chairs, king bed, and a nice work/desk area. Very nice hotel! We would highly recommend to anyone traveling this way or just for a nice stay right on the beach.

“Great Stay”

Stayed two nights in January. Very nice hotel and we enjoyed the stay. The I-Pad was a nice touch and let us catch up on emails. We ate at the Original Oyster House - fantastic. We will be back, no complaints

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay here with us. The Original Oyster House is a favorite of many. . I noticed you took full benefit of the iPad 2's that we have for guest use, we have loaded those up with fun events, places to explore, dining and nightlife suggeestions. They come in handy! We went to Orange Beach for Thanksgiving vacation and so I could run the Kaiser Realty Half Marathon. What a nice experience! Very friendly staff, beautiful location and close to a number of things.

We had a beach front room with a great view of the ocean. The room had a balcony with plastic patio furniture for sitting and eating. Nice touch. The continental breakfast each morning was plentiful. The beach was beautiful and clean and I even went for a swim in the ocean then took a dip to warm up in the hotel's hot tub.

There are nice restaurants within walking distance to the hotel including Bubba's Seafood House (great seafood-shrimp and crab). Within driving distance on Perdido Beach Blvd. try Cafe Grazie. You can also try Cosmo's on Canal Road.

Just a short drive to the "wharf" there are some great restaurants and shopping. Try Villaggio Grille and Ginny Lane Bar and Grill.

Golfing at Gulf State Park was nice - $50 per person with cart rental.

Would go back! Holiday Inn Express in Orange Beach is the place to stay!

“Nice beach stay”

We were only in the area for one night, but I am glad that we chose this hotel. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The small balcony had furnture to allow for sitting and relaxing with a veiw of the beach and water. There is a nice heated pool and hot tub, which we did not use on this trip, but it will be nice to remember in the future. Also there is a nice walkway out to the beach.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not notice any issues with the elevators at all.

We look forward to staying again!

Room Tip: I think most rooms have at least a view of the beach and water from the balconies.
