Whenever we go to Orange Beach, our family stays here. It is awesome. The staff is amazing. They are always accomodating and helpful, especially the desk clerk, Nilla. We absolutely love her! The lobby is fun for children because there are huge aquariums and cookies. The rooms are nice. Make sure you get the gulf view room...awesome views. The indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs are right beside a bar and a boardwalk leading straight to the beach, where you can rent an umbrella and two chairs for the day for twenty-five dollars a day. Parking is free, and the breakfast buffet might be if you get a good deal. The breakfast is very good. There's a buffet, plus you can order from the grill, all included in the price. If you are staying there, make sure you visit the restaurants Cobalt and Grazie. We will be back here in June.

Great hotel, room was excellent. Employees were friendly and eager to help in any way possible. They called us on cell phone when room was ready for early check in. When we decided we wanted to stay an extra night, we had to change rooms, so they told us to pack every thing up and leave on the bed and we went out and played while they moved our luggage to our new room. Then they called us when everything was ready.......all we had to do was pick up key at desk. We will definitely be ready to stay here when we are back in this area.

I stayed here for one night. I got there before check in and they let me check in 2hrs early. This was great since we were only staying one night. We got to change, go to the pool, and right to the beach. I liked how they had a pier with access to the beach and near the pool there was a shower to rinse off.

The pool had a little part indoor and more out door. A plus was having a restroom close to the pool and beach area. There was an indoor hot tub along with I believe two outside. There was an outdoor bar, which was great for a refreshing drink. However, it was about $7 a drink.

The beach outside the hotel was green/brown. It had nice sand and no jellyfish, it did have seaweed though. The atmosphere was an older and family crowd. It was pretty quite and relaxing.

The hotel room was clean and looked nice. It also had a very comfy bed. The room had a balcony, which was good for hanging up towels. However, the view was off another complex.

I liked how they had covered parking as well as ample outside parking.

Overall, it was a good stay.

My wife and I stayed at the HGI OB for two nights prior to a week of work in Mobile. When the project ended a day early it was a no brainer to load up, head back to beach and return to the HGI. The front desk staff was always prompt and courteous allowing us to check in way early on our return trip so that we could enjoy the beach. Service, and the drinks, at the pool bar and the bartender were excellent. Make sure to stop and say hello.
