My husband stayed here for one night on business back in December. The hotel was to his liking and the price was right. The problem is, we started seeing charges for $320.96 show up on our credit card statement more than a month after his stay and I assure you he wouldn't have paid that rate for this hotel. When I contacted Clarion about this, the manager was ALWAYS unavailable and NEVER returned calls to me. The desk employee assured me that he could not see my record in his computer and that I would have to talk to the manager because her computer could "see" more than his. I endured this for a time and no more charges appeared. I called their 1-800 number and was assured that the charges
would be investigated and then they would call back. They NEVER called back either! Another month later, TWO more charges for $320.96 appeared. I promptly called Clarion again. I got a lady on the desk who was very nice. She was sympathetic to my plight and assured me they had a new manager but still wouldn't let me talk to him. Instead she wanted me to call a regional employee (guess what? No return call!) and then email my credit card statement to her personal email addess. What a joke! I had to call my credit card company and file fraud charges against Clarion. I also had to change my credit card number and get new cards issued. They have either had their system hacked or they have an employee helping himself/herself to a nice bonus every month. Either way, they have made no attempt to contact their customers and they don't seem to care. If you are a fan of identity theft, the Calrion is for you. If not, there are plenty of other places in Montgomery to stay that are of great value, minus the fraud.
