“very friendly staff”

The quality inn was an older motel but the staff was excellent!! The room we had was very clean, the carpet could have stood to be replaced but all in all it was a very good trip. The location was wonderful it's convienient to almost everything. And all the staff even the housekeepers were very helpful. We paid $49 plus tax and it was well worth it. We travel to montgomery often and i think we have found our home away from home.

“Avoid this dump!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2008

I wanted a place that was clean and safe, and didn't mind if it was older and rundown a bit -- but this place was beyond a bit worn, it was grungy and a total dump.

We picked this place because the reviews here didn't make it seem as bad as it turned out to be, and through our Choice Privileges rewards points program this room was just 6,000 points a night (nearly the cheapest available -- and we found out why).

The tub was filthy-looking, like the dirt was ground in. Everything metal was rusty, some of the lamps didn't work, one of the power outlets didn't work, and the floor felt slightly damp the one time I stupidly put my feet down without thongs on. The whole place smelled a bit musty, too. It was just icky.

On the positive side, it was a very good location for getting anywhere in town, and it wasn't the absolute worst dump imaginable -- but it certainly isn't a place I would ever pick again. The sign outside said the rate was $49.99 a night, which was a joke. They couldn't seriously charge more than $25 for this, and even then I wouldn't stay there again. Also, there was a free breakfast (very basic, blah danish and coffee, etc) and free wifi (basically unsecured -- the password was something generic that was probably never changed, and there was no way to to a wired connect for more security).

“wouldn't go back !!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2008

We were heading to Mongomery to check out Hank Williams' museum and wanted to see his grave.
We chose this hotel because of the location, and the price quoted from AAA. Also, it advertised it had wireless internet access and a "deluxe" continental breakfast.
Well, the internet access was intermittant at best - kept getting kicked off - and had a hard time getting reconnected.
The "deluxe" breakfast was a joke. Nothing "deluxe" about it !
Cold cereal, bagels, danish, milk, juice (peach juice advertised as orange).
No information AT ALL in the room. Went to the front desk to get a comment card - they didn't have any - hmmm, wonder why that would be !!
Don't waste your time ! Go elsewhere !

“Worn but cheap and clean!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2006

Good motel for the price ($50). Was traveling through about midnight and all of the surrounding hotels had a locked lobby with no one at the front desk. Room was worn and needs to be renovated, but it was very clean. Don't be fooled by the sign out front that states, "RECENTLY RENOVATED." I didn't see the sign until the morning, otherwise I may have been disappointed upon entering the room. All in all, a good roadside motel.

“Could be better”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2004

Arrived early, but room was not ready. Was disappointed to see that the pool was shut down for the season already, (October) even though the temperature was in the mid 80's. Room was ok, but the furniture was worn, and one chair had a broken leg. Stains on the carpet, and a towel rack had been ripped off the wall in the bathroom, but never replaced. Just a set of gaping holes in the sheetrock above the toilet. Also, the tiles above the bath faucet had apparently been busted out at some point, and repaired in a less-than-professional manner. Air conditioner was noisy. Breakfast was meager. Could probably find a better place for the price ($60+).
