The best things about Days Inn Midtown Montgomery are the low price and convenient location. It's an ok motel for the low price. I stayed here for 2 nights in the fall. It is an older motel that's been refurbished. It has exterior entrances. The room was clean enough, the mattress was bulging out a bit at the sides but comfortable enough. The bathroom shower was in good shape, with solid marble-like walls. There was plenty of warm water but I think the shower had something to keep the water from getting real hot, because it wasn't ever burning hot like the sink faucet got. I paid $44 a night plus $6 tax.
The maid didn't resupply the shampoo and soap one day, but I got more at the front desk. The free breakfast was fairly typical of other Days Inns, with 3 types of cereal, packages of oatmeal, apples, orange and apple juice, toast, donuts, bagels, and waffles you could pop in the toaster. The breakfast room was large enough. Front desk staff was friendly. Wireless internet access was trouble free and fast; I had no connection problems. Stayed in November so didn't have to try the AC. The window doesn't open. The motel is conveniently located within a mile of several fast food and other restaurants. There's also a Walmart superstore within a mile and the motel is a short drive from Gunter Annex of Maxwell Air Force Base. The Walmart is in the "Midtown Mall" which also includes a Chik-A-Fil fastfood restaurant specializing in chicken sandwiches. The Chik-A-Fil was usually mobbed - so many cars backed up that they interfered with traffic in the mall parking lot.
