This is the first La Quinta Inn that we have stayed at, not knowing what to expect we had little anixety about what place would look like and how location would look. We were surprised to find that it was a very nice place to stay and area didn't look too bad. We have traveled four different times this year to SC, FL, AR,, etc. and this property was as nice as any other that we have stayed at and a lot nicer than some. The staff was friendly, we had fast check in, beds slept great, right off interstate and places to eat very near. We travel with our pet and had no problems with her at check in nor with noise from other pets. There was a down side to room, the sink with mirror across from bathroom is right as you walk in door which made for easy visibility for anyone walking down hall to see inside room. Also TV set to certain level on sound and couldn't hear very well. Overall satisfied with stay and would stay again.

Just off Interstate good location. Very clean and well appointed room. However pool was closed for service and sister hotel (also La Quinta Inn) pool closed but nothing on website to say that, tv is satellite I think and it was down when we stayed so no tv. Nearby choice of Ruby Tuesdays ( OK we ate there), Taco Bell, Mama Nem ( soul food at reasonable prices) and a Waffle House.
The price with coupon is good from $49 but wont know until tomorrow what final price is - see this space later.

Last week I stayed at a different LaQuinta property near this hotel, only to find no televisions, no coffee maker. When I complained via email to the general manager, I didn't even receive the courtest of a canned response.

So this week, again in Montgomery, I though I would try a different LaQuinta. Once again, no television, When i inquired at the front desk whether the two properties were managed by the same individual, I was told no. When I complained that once again there's no television service in the rooms, I was told that it was not the problem of the front desk.

LaQuinta has gone so far down hill - apparently the general rule should be to avoid any of their properties. Their staff feel no responsibility to customers, and they have absolutely no concern about whether they provide any of the amenities (if you could call TV an amenity) to their customers.

I think the reviews are mixed because there are two La Qunita Inns adjacent to each other.....interesting. Well, I stayed for 5 nights at the La Qunita Inn on Eastern Blvd and was not impressed, mostly due to the LARGE crickets that entered through the crack below the door. Each day I was greeted by at least two or three jumping around in my room while I was trying to shower and get ready. Granted, they are harmless but still....That would have been bad enough but the phone didn't work to the front desk, and each day I received a different allotment of towels. One day I didn't have any bath towels when I got out of the shower so I had to try off with a hand towel. I also put disposable cups over the crickets when I could catch them only to find the maid service removed the cups but not the bugs........so just beware and know what you're getting into before you decide on this hotel.
