Spent one night here, I’d actually stayed here three years ago and was a little surprised to see nothing had changed.
The location is good close to I-65, I-10 and Airport Blvd.
The reception area is bright, clean and refreshing, and checking in was a breeze thanks to the Hilton Honours system.
The rooms were exactly as I remembered them, again no complaints, clean and very spacious but somehow missing any charm or character.
I was travelling with colleagues and recall how slow the food ordering process can be so I ate elsewhere, my colleagues did confirm later that that their food orders took a long time to come.
It’s the same story at breakfast, I waited over thirty minutes for scrambled eggs and potato. Admittedly there were a lot of people down for breakfast at that time but all it would have taken to speed things up would have been one or two other members of staff.
There is a small swimming pool but the weather was too cold to make use of this.
Overall a pleasant stay and a quiet comfortable night just a shame the management does not share the same urgency and need for quick service that we often require.
