“Convenient to I-65, Restaurants, and Inexpensive Room Rates.”

We've stayed here several times to visit family who live in Mobile. They have updated the rooms somewhat and they are kept very clean. The Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty, but we were lucky that we recently had a room that had the Wi-Fi router right in it, so our signal was super. They place the Wi-Fi routers in the middle of the buildings, if that's any help for you in getting a room close to a signal. We basically just used our rooms for sleeping and getting dressed, and for that, the rooms were just fine. They now have 32 inch flat panel HD Samsung TV's which made watching TV more enjoyable. There's Denny’s Restaurant right next door for a hearty breakfast. There is also a Waffle House next to that.
There’s also a Billiard Hall next to the Hilton Garden Inn 2 doors down. The billiard hall is fun with lots of younger people of all kinds, flat panel T.V.s, foosball, air hockey, pinball, etc. It’s very big and not your typical small, smoky, joint were you might feel unsafe. It was surprisingly fun.
A five minute walk brought you to O’Charleys Restaurant which kind of reminded me of an upscale Chili’s or TGIF. I’d recommend O’Charley’s if you’re in a bind and need a cocktail, beer, and something to eat.
To summarize, the La Quinta Inn is your average chain motel with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a centralized location for a good price. NOTE: The service road it is situated on is difficult for some GPS systems to pick up and the whole service road idea is a little confusing to get used to. It basically runs parallel to Government Blvd. Familiarize yourself with it, getting on and off won’t be so frustrating!.

Room Tip: There are courtyard rooms that may tend to be quieter, as they don't back up to the parking lot...

“Nothing to write home about...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This hotel is a motel style, with outside entrances to all of the rooms. The hotel is right off of the interstate and conveniently located near many restaurants. The rooms are average. The staff was very friendly and offered very good customer service.

The contenintal breakfast ended at 9 (I believe) and was gone when I got there at 8:45 or so. That was a pretty big negative because the free breakfast is one of the draws of Laquinta for me and my family - it's usually not good, but I don't complain about free.

“Average. Convenient to interstate and shopping. Fairly priced.”

Site seeing in Mobile and needed a decent price for an average hotel. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a little outdated, but overall it was worth the price. I liked that it was close to Hwy 65 and easy to access Hwy 10. Also close to the mall, and main strip for dining and other shopping. I would stay here again.

“Clean but old”

The place could definitely use a face lift. At first glance we weren't sure we were going to stay but I was surprised to find it was clean. It just looked dirty because of the wear and tear on the place. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you want breakfast get there early because the lobby area where the cereal and fruit can be found is very small and fills up fast. We stayed in room 102 and were disappointed to find that the staff collected the garbage outside of our room during the day to be removed to the dumpster in the evening. If you are only staying one night and need a relatively inexpensive place to stay this will work but I wouldn't recommend it for longer than one night

“Clerk was great, breakfast was good, room could have been cleaner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

Found clerk Brianna was a ray of sunshine, after a long day driving. She was friendly, helpful and more then accomodating. Room rate was fair thanks to a travel coupon. Bathroom door in room didn't fit properly, while there was some nastiness which almost looked like termites or a pile of dirt between the fridge and desk in the room. Location is decent for a couple resturants, while easy to get to off the highway. Enjoyed our bite to eat next door at O'Charleys. Breakfast was decent enough, and better then most we had experienced during our trip.
