I would first like to state that I've been in worse... in Iraq. But as far as hotels in america are concerned? This is horrible. The hotel was neat, but several things make this place bad. The tub is moldy and has soap scum in it. The microwave was decently sized but dirty, the furniture mirrors and other accesories are in a shambles. Fridge is gross. Thank God I get my vaccinations when they are due. You walk in, and two things pop into mind. I think I've seen this place on cops, and I'm sure to get an std just for walking in the place.

Similar to the other reviewer, we ended up here after checking out of the HoJo up the road due to a filthy room. The Rest Inn was the closest place we could find. The double N/S room was clean and quiet; just what we needed. Toilet wobbled but no other complaints about this no frills room. Pool was closed, but it is too cold to swim anyway.

The room was horrible! I am actually in this room right now, we will be checking out in the morning after I had to go to the office to get sheets and cleaning supplies. When we first walked in, the room had the overwhelming odor of urine. There was a partially used bar of soap in the the tub and a used dirty towel hanging from the bathroom door. I killed one roach crawling on the bed, the dresser drawers have dirt inside them, there were pubic hairs on the toilet lid as well as inside the tub. The front desk guy was actually very nice and gave me the sheets and cleaning supplies I asked for. Maybe the other rooms are nicer but in this one, half of the lights don't work, there was a glass fixture sitting on the floor, and it appears 2 of the lights are being held together with tape. This hotel does have cheap rates and weekly stays compared to the ones we were recently at but our room was awful. The housekeeper came by this morning, passed a few towels through the door and that was it.

I'll begin by saying my experience was colored by initially checking into the Beverly Motel at 4384 Government Blvd ... which was such an awful and disgusting motel I got a refund and got the hell out of there. I drove further up, and found the Rest Inn ... where I stayed for the night.

The desk clerk at Rest Inn was very nice and professional, and understanding when I told him what I'd been through. For $60, he rented me a double non-smoking room with free wi-fi that was clean and safe. I didn't spend much time there, but all I needed was a clean and safe place to crash in Mobile for the night. It fit my needs, and rescued me from a much worse place to stay. For that reason, I will always respect them.
