We checked in early and the front desk personnel were very nice. I was informed that one of my rooms was not ready but it would be later and they would call me. No problem... we would come back after lunch with our children. When we returned the valet personnel with AAA on their shirts were rude and stated that we could not check our car in from the royal street location we had to move to dauphin. I attempted to explain that something must have happened to the sign and was given attitude by all three attendants. So after this we again check on our room and still not ready. So we go to the other room where we have a message. So the front desk say I must come down to collect my wristbands. I go down to the lobby to collect the bands and I again check on my room that I expected to have an hour ago. That is when the excuses start; telling me it will be another hour for my room to be ready. not 20 minutes after this my wife went to the desk and they some how create a room on a different floor.
Now about the rooms my first room had no hot water at all and my other room the bed was so hard sleep was not option. Otherwise the rooms were nice with large televisions and Aveda products.
In my opinion this is probably the nicest hotel in Mobile AL but not meeting the expectations you set makes it average at best.
