The hotel is overly priced but is aesthetically pleasing. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. The front desk manager John Russell, was polite, attentive and appropriately friendly, as was Chrissy. They used a Chauffeur service, Lance Burton who was wonderful. It is the same price as a taxi but the ride was more comfortable the car was immaculate and Mr. Burton was polite and appropriately friendly.
The bad: the room they encouraged me to take has a river view but they neglected to tell me that trains and barges go by. It only happened once but it woke me from a sound sleep. The bell desk is outside and approx 100 ft from the hotel..inconvienent and way to much wasted space.
The Ugly: the restaurant has the worst service & some of the rudest people. The hotel was filled to capacity & they were using trainees. It was a horrible site not to mention the food was greasy, overpriced & had a limited menu. No social graces in that area of the hotel. The Spa never answered their telephone & did not respond to my call. They were also overpriced & did not know what a sweedish massage is & did not do sweedish!
Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the river unless you are a very hard sleeper!
