Hi, I am one of the guests staying since 10 years at this lovely place.
All the years I had nothing to complain with the staff or the facility. I like the warm hospitality and friendly athmosphere. Helena, Lloyd, Lucinda and the staff doing everything to make the stay more than worthfull.
Of Course it is not a 5 Star Resort, but its a really cosy place, where you can recover from the stress. The staff is not harassing you. Also not the outsourced staff from the pool bar/restaurant. The outsourced pool bar is the reason for four points at service. They sometimes didnt clean the table after other guests leaving or it took much time. And unfortunately some guests were not the tidiest; I will not go into greater detail about it - loosing my belive in human behavior.

Coming to the end: In german we say: "Wie man in den Wald hineinruft, so schallt es heraus!"
What goes around, comes around.

I was traveling to Goa for the first time and with wife and child, it was really important that I choose the right place to stay. Unfortunately, at first, I was suggested by my taxi driver to some hotel in Calangute, something called "Hotel Sahil Residency" and it was a nightmare. Dirty, stinky room with very unhygienic kitchen. And most to it, the staff was very arrogant and ready to fight.

Anyway, I am here to write something good and want to forget my bad experience in Goa. The very moment I was thinking that my Goa trip has gone to worst, I decided to not let it happen and searched for a nice resort and fortunately, with the help of Tripadvisor site, I found Dona Julia resort and shifted to Dona Julia the very next day of arriving Goa. It was a real gem in my stay of Goa. Very peaceful, neat and clean resort, and most importantly, mannered and extremely polite staff. They arranged everything for me. A lot of fellow travelers who were staying in Dona Julia were also very happy and were enjoying their stay. Their location is nice, the swimming pool is really good and room was quite spacious and clean.

We really loved it and due to our pleasant stay in Dona Julia, we could really enjoy our trip to Goa. We'll definitely visit Goa again and no doubt, Dona Julia will be my choice of resort to stay with my family. Thanks guys!

We had a supreme experience staying in Dona Julia. It was quite near to the Calangute beach and had a serene surrounding. The best part of the resort was the well maintained swimming. It was perfect for relief in a lazy after. Enjoyed staying in the pool. The rooms were clean too with geysor facility and nice air conditioning. Lack of availability of good food was the only deterrent for this resort. Being little off from the the central Calangute and not much resources available around, would have appreciated with choice of good food.

This place is a cosy shelter 5 minutes away from the sandy beach of Calangute. Houses basic clean rooms - all you need when you're holidaying in Goa is a bed to sleep in, so Dona Julia makes us more than happy. Breakfast can be ordered in, but the service is a bit slow. During the season, there are many shacks around to fill you up with fresh seafood. Their pool is great for those lazy afternoons when it's too hot to set out to the beach. Great location and also many bike hire shops around to ride around town.
