just come back from the mira,in goa,after reading several reviews we were a bit weary,but the place was fantastic,people said it smelt of moth balls but they are there air freshners!! we took them out and the smell went,with this hotel being smaller it was like one big family,anil and his mates were very friendly and helpful, they cleaned your room every other day but you had to give your keys in at reception the one day we forgot they were banging the door at night with fresh towels couldnt fault them, the only thing i can find to moan at is breakfast,you have to pay although very cheap for anything more than there rice crispie toast with dog hairs on them, because every hotel has dogs and they rule the place, but if youve been to india thats the norm hopefully goin back next year!!

We stayed at the Mira Hotel for 14 nights in January. The staff are brilliant and the hotel is really clean and well maintained. The hotel is located near lots of bars and restaurants and is a short walk from Calangute beach. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The traffic can be a little noisy outside but the hotel is in the centre of Calangute so we expected this but you quickly get used to it. I would only return to this hotel on our next trip to Goa as it offered everything we needed at a great price.

nice friendly basic hotel, third stay in the mira , the thai restaurant that was there on a evening as now moved taking all their bits a bobs with them leaving the hotel looking shabby and bare, but still good value for money

we stayed for xmas and new year and enjoyed our stay. the staff are very helpful and if you had any problem they sorted it. babboo kept our room very clean and it was basic but met our needs. the mira is in a very good location for beach and the main street, we had fireworks and gala meals at the hotel and both were enjoyable. we didnt really use the pool area as it was very small and didnt get the sun all day, we preferred to walk right out of the hotel and just past the fur coat stall was a small footpath that took you through a small friendly village on to the beach, we took a bed at peters shack and we were very well looked after all day and i can say it was the best food around-thank you sandy for your service, sunita and baby for our massage and dunni for my pedicure and henna tattoo and also little gita. we had our towels and linen were changed everyday i dont know why other reviews said they wernt they obviously didnt ask! all i can say is we had a very happy comfortable stay at the mira which made our holiday.
