Spent a lovely week here and the staff couldn't do engh for us. The rooms on the upper floor are delightful and mega clean. Nice balconies too.

They advertise that you can have your choice of 2 pools, you cannot. The MUCH nicer pool is kept for those in the villas even though it says in the brochure you can choose. They stop you if you try to go in. Change the brochure, or let people go where they want.

Breakfast is nice with fresh made omelettes etc, but it was the same selection every day so could do with some variation.

Good thing is. It's close to the beach, but DO NOT go to Calangute beach. It is where lots of local men come to ogle the western women on the beach, and even brazenly take videos and pictures. I nearly got into an altercation with some of these people and it really ruined my vibe. Pretty annoying. On new years eve my girl friend got molested here and got ll the wrong kind of attention. Just wrong wrong wrong.

I should just say that this is the only place this happened tho and is not and indication of India overall at all.

Instead, take a 5 min taxi ride to candolim beach and there are no oglers and fewer vendors there

We travelled to India in December and stayed at Casa de Goa for the first few days of our trip. The hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance to the beach and the buzzing restaurants and shops. For quiet time, we spent time at the magnificent pool and jacuzzi. The accommodation was perfect (clean and spacious) and when we were upgraded we were really spoilt! The staff are incredibly friendly and the service was wonderful! We hope to return one day!

Checked in to the hotel for the NYE / Xmas period with my friend and his sister, and were looking forward to a great holiday break in Goa. After heading out to Sunburn Music Festival on the first day, on return, the night security guard named "Raju" started accusing us of bringing random girls back to the hotel and that we were going to "rape and murder" her. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, especially as the girl was my friends sister and was registered at the hotel. After realising his error, he claimed we were hiding another girl in the room, to "rape and murder". He knew he was very wrong when we invited him into the room to search, but the damage was done - no girl would ever feel safe at this hotel, and the fact that they could accuse guests of such behaviour is unacceptable. We are not dodgy looking people, but instead the normal civil tourists from a western country, looking to enjoy the goa beaches and music scene. The manager "Domingo" also was a joke, after falling for the claims made by "Raju" and repeatedly ringing our door bell in the early morning hours of the night, claiming we had a girl hidden away that we were going to "rape and murder" ... not only did this experience leave us with a bad taste of Goa, but we were dead tired and my friend actually fainted on the beach the next day from lack of sleep.. SHAME ON YOU CASA DE GOA .. so much potential, only to be wasted on some uneducated, biased and rude staff. Many more better options exist, which we soon discovered when we checked out promptly and moved into a much more normal hotel.

Good service, good and clean rooms and good breakfast. Also close to beach but at the same time away from the crowd and peaceful.
