This was our 2nd trip to Goa - tried hotel Terra paraiso 1st but was fully booked and settled on casa de goa. Hotel is divided in 2 parts , one which has small villas and other with regular rooms. Both the wings are across the street to each other. We stayed in the wing with rooms
Nice enough hotel with helpful staff specially the people serving breakfast. Spacious clean rooms with good view of the pool.
Pros :
Clean comfy modern rooms with spacious bathroom and comfy bed
Prompt and helpful staff
Location - bang near Calangute beach and also near the extended but not crowded part of the calangute beach
The calangute beach (extension) is within 5 min walking distance from the hotel - a small path just opposite to the hotel leads to this beach which is much less crowded than the actual calangute beach.
Cons :
Expensive food menu - breakfast is complimentary but eating at the hotel is expensive, you can try numerous shacks and resraurants nearby specially the small eatery "Hungry Horse" next door to the hotel
Hardly any activity - in the 3 days we were there there was live music arrangement one day but that was totally forgettable - the hotel needs to up their standards here.
Nothing majorly wrong with the Hotel.
The hotel is mostly frequented by Indian and Russian families with children so the atmosphere is more homely type. we rather liked the peaceful ambience there.
Overall a good hotel for families and honeymooners too with the major attraction being the location of the hotel
