Its a no frills kind of guest house which gives you room to offload all your stuff when you enjoy Goa. Its not a hotel or resort where you expect room service, pool or any other facility. Its a guest house and all you'll get here is a room. Drop your bags here and go out. Whole sea is waiting for you. (And the market of course for ladies)

Biggest plus: its really close to the beach, though the place is a bit before the main calangute beach (15 mins walk after you enter the beach). So you enter at Tivai Vadoo, take right and reach Calangute.

Rooms: They are clean, I got one with TV/Balcony/AC for just 800 Rs/(They have renovated and hence hiked the rate this year 1200 INR). They were definitely good for 800 Rs though the bathroom tap was leaking a bit(Its fixed NOW as confirmed by Joseph). (No extra tax and no charge for kid below 12). So if you are on budget it will be a perfect choice.

No one came to clean our room for 3 nights; when I asked the owner he told me that they send someone if you ask as they do not allow the boys to enter room otherwise. Quite nice I must say as no once can enter without permission; but as I never stayed in a guest house before; it was new for me. No complaints though.

Owner: This is where Veronica shines; it is managed by Joseph; he is a young guy; was very polite and helpful on all the aspects. Be it getting a Activa or arranging a site tour or agreeing that outer rates for cabs will be cheaper as his car is a SUV and we should get the better deal outside.

Food: There are many option around veronica as it is near to the market as well. Though the restaurant in veronica itself is not good. Its managed by some other guy who was also nice in communication and behavior but the boys who worked there were not good . They actually took more money than the billed from us; which their owner adjusted against the bill once I told him same. You can try here for normal Indian food; though do not expect high.(taken one start for that)

Few more positives are, power backup in case of regular power loss, you can pay by credit card (not sure if they expect international), They have internet cafe as well.

If you are expecting good room service and things; please stay @ some hotel. This is not the place. Else go ahead; stay here; its near the beach, very economic and owned by good people.

I have stayed at Goa with my family in the month of October 2011 for 3 nights at Veronica Guest House. It was a excellent stay and the owner of the Guest house Mr. Joseph and his father and Aunty is very very supporting and guided us all the way. I have no word to express about their hospitality. Veronica Guest house is located on 5 minutes walking distance from the calangute beech. The room is clean and toilet is excellent. They offer me the next room of where Mr. Joseph's father stay. I booked Non AC Room but they given me the AC Room but AC was remained off. A restaurant is an added property of this Guest House. Owner of the restaurant is also a nice guy. My two years old daughter became friend of the restaurant owner Mr. Pankaj. Aunty took care of my daughter. So I recommend to stay at Veronica Guest House you visit goa and looking for budget hotel. Moreover Mr. Joseph pickup us from Madgaon Station and also transfer us to the same by a Scorpio (Charges extra). If I visit Goa again in future I definitely stay at Veronica Guest House.

This place is worth the pay. no big words but do not expect a lot, basic hygiene is present. the place is located 300mtrs from the famous calangute beach. you can always walk to the quieter portion of the beach whenever you wish to. a department store named newtons is close by. hdfc bank atm is a kilometer away and the commercial portion of the calangute beach is barely 3kms far. joseph is a friendly guy working on improving the service most of the time. we stayed in room 106, ac was effective, fridge was working fine and the tv was in good condition. the property is old but well maintained. need a bike ask joseph, sightseeing guidance ask joseph, places to eat ask joseph, general tips to move around ask joseph. an add on to the property is the restaurant, the owner pankaj is a friendly guy with focus on fulfilling the needs of the customer. the restaurant with in the guest house serves fresh food, but don't miss on the options outside as well. all in all a good trip. i will definitely plan a visit again.

Me and my girlfriend visited goa in march 2011, after a lot of searching on the internet found this place which we zeroed for stay. we reached in calangute in the mrng and gave a call to joseph n he sent us the car for pick up without charging anything, the rooms were spacious , neat and clean and within our budget, joseph, salvador uncle and aunty are real nice people, we got every possible assistance from them, though we mostly ate our lunch and dinner outside but the breakfast was scrumptious. the main highlight of this guest house is its location, its situated between the beach and the main road, very quite and serene, wld surely recommend everyone to visit it.
