My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay very much at the seagull. It’s only a 5-10 min relaxing walk to the beach which was acceptable since most hotels in Calangute are not beachfront. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed good sleep as the staff, unlike many other places we stayed at, are very considerate by working as quietly as possible in the early morning. As a bonus, there was always hot water, which is not always the case in other, even more expensive, hotels that we stayed at in India. The entire atmosphere was very pleasant with good food (international and Indian) at the restaurant and also European league soccer on a big screen TV. The hospitality and genuinely caring service that we received from the owners and the staff led us to stay an additional 2 more nights before we headed to Palolem. The only thing that I suggest for improvement is to expand the wi-fi (free) range to the bedrooms. At around 2000-3000 rupees/night, we found this hotel to be one of the best values in the area. To get the most out of your stay in Calangute, I would recommend renting a scooter for 200-300 rupees/day to explore the town and get to Aguda flea market on Wednesday.

No Reception. No Room Service. Hotel Restuarant does not serve indian food. Fridge did not work in my room. they fixed Fridge then TV stopped working. Also based on hotel managers's response, looks like they are only interested in foreigners.

Its mentioned on Lonely Planet so we asked our taxi at the airport to take us there. At first he could not seem to find but eventually found it. Friendly place, beautifully decorated and built, rooms also were good and furniture was exquisite.Its a small warm and friendly place where all the guests knew all the staff on first name basis which made the atmosphere very homely. We didnt use the pool cause the beach was very close where we spend the days sunbathing.

Restaurant was very busy in the evenings with lots of Russian and English tourists. Looked new and everything worked well. Cant find anything to complain. There were some very cheeky tourists who wanted to check out at 7 in the evening and not have to pay for the day to which the manager politely told them to leave their bags and he would look after them till then which was very nice.I thought the level of professionalism and tact was commendable.

I stayed in this hotel between 30th October ~ 3rd of November 2011. I have booked two rooms in this hotel. Fact is is this hotel made our long time Goa holiday plan real nightmare . It is one of the horrible experience to stay in this hotel .
1. this hotel is not having any reception , or no room service or any thing . just simple rooms
2. rooms stinks .. at many places there is fungus formation because of water leakage .
3. Major power problem , A/C problem if A/C is not working fans are not having regulators
4. Spring beds are horrible . can not sleep or sit on that
5. TV the channels never work
6. They don't clean the rooms daily . with repeated requests you can make them to clean the rooms
7. no drinking water available in the room .. also don't request for that
8. swimming pool is there for just name sake .. they never allow it to use or it will be out of service .
