“Amazing find !”

Stayed there for 4 days - was recommended by a friend and also read good reviews. Worth the stay ! Clean large room, clean toilet and easy access to the beach also to the main road. Great value for money and very friendly owners - have a dog on premise, dont worry dog wont bother you. Its a great place to stay if you like peaceful surroundings at the same time easy access to calangute & baga. Avoid their shack though, food not so good...

“A good find”

Stayed here for a while when stranded by the volcano (how lucky was that ..?!) Owners are very friendly and felt safe on my own as I was upstairs and they have two big alsatian dogs, plus the family are also on site. Great room with fan, clean and quiet. Two minutes walk to the beach and NV has its own shack. It is only a short walk into town from here but be advised that the road from NV to the main road is dark after sundown so either pack a torch or be safe and get a taxi back if alone and unsure.

“Very relaxing, quiet, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2010

Charlie, a taxi driver that hangs outside Paradise Village and internet shop, suggested NV Beach Resort. I'm so glad he did. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I stayed in a non aircon room which had a fan, it was a very hot time of year to go but I found it fine without aircon. NV is a family run business, one of the first one's to set up on the beach. They are all very friendly and made me feel really welcome. I was travelling on my own and was a little worried that I wouldn't be safe but there are 2 family dogs that believe me won't let anyone in that isn't staying at the guesthouse. They are also very friendly, so don't worry and I don't like dogs.

The resort is a 2 minute walk to the beach where they have a shack that has very tasty food and lovely staff, Gensh & Anita. Turn right and you're heading to Baga beach about 30 minutes walk, very crowed if you like that sort of thing. Before you get there you can turn off at Beach Road where there are lots of restaurants and shops. If you turned left you would be heading to Candolim Beach. Don't make the same mistake I did, I was told by a local it would take 15 minutes to walk there, an hour and 20 later (and I walk fast) I arrived, blisters and all. It was a nice walk all the same but I was deffinately ready for my dinner by then.

The walk into town takes about 10 minutes, I would advise to leave the guesthouse before sunset as there are no lights down the road and it was pretty scary walking down there on my own, it's fine if you are with someone else. So I took a tuk-tuk back every night R50. There is an internet shop at the end of the road turn right. It was the fastest connection I found and very helpfull owners. If you turn left out of the road you head into town.

I would definately stay here again.

“NV Beach Experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2008

Saw this place last year and popped in to have a look! Well impressed so took details and decided to try this year. Emailed Francis [prop] and kept in touch through the year. Book for 4 weeks from Jan 12th and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Stayed in non A/C room for 800 rups per night. Rooms cleaned & bedding changed twice weekly at least. Pleasant, friendly family and excellent location near beach. Also has a shack for all food & drink requirements, so no problems!!
