I had booked 3 rooms in this hotel from 27 Oct 2011 to 01 Nov 2011. After, we a family of 8 with 4 children, having a long drive from Mumbai, was expecting to have a good rest at the hotel. Just after check-in, we found that couple of lights and the fan was not working. Also the A.C. was working in Fan mode. When inquired about it, the management told us that due to peak season, the voltage in all over goa is low, hence A.C. wont work properly. She meant that there was no backup power in the hotel. Still we managed that night. The next day we again went down to the reception to atleast get the fan and light work properly. There was one lady sitting in the manager cabin, which I think didnt even know how to talk to customers. She bluntly said that the Electrcian is on leave, hence she can do nothing.
Almost in all hotels, the bedsheet and towels are changed everyday. Also the room is cleaned and dustbins are emptied everyday. But here, even after requesting and complaining many times, none of these things happened. On the 3rd day, the room dustbins were overflowing and the floor became very dirty. Also, even after paying for extra person, they provided only the bed, but no bedsheet nor blanket. When again inquired, they told us they didnt have any.
The swimming pool shown in pictures, do exist, but is not functioning. The pool water had a good cover of green moss which shows that the water is not changed for months.
Also the breakfast had same menu everyday and the food and tea was tasteless.
During check-out, I came to know the actual story behind this hotel and its service apathy from one of the hotel staff guy. The owner of this hotel, a Gujrati, stays somewhere in London. Hence there is no decision making man in the hotel. This owner and hence the hotel management, is just behind making money without giving any service.
Well. all go to goa for a good vacation chilling out with beer. But it seems, I went there to just quarrel and argue with the hotel staff everyday and night. Not a single day went without argueing with the hotel staff (there in one lady and one guy in the management and only 2 helpers). I swear to God, that I will NEVER stay in this hotel again NOR I will recommend it to anyone.
