“Beautiful Garden and Pool but don't bother if you need help from staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2011

So the Lotus is a little bit of Paradise tucked away in the back side of Anjuana / Chapora. Hidden away is one of the most beautiful pools and Gardens you'll find this side of a very expensive resort. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a traditional style and are comfortable. they are however a little run down now and could do with a refurb as could the electric and televisons. Nothing is dangerous just starting to get a little rusty and flaky. More importantly their are no phones or Internet in the rooms yet. A service which is essential for what I call a Garden Hotel and I think Internet should come at their prices.
The staff are not particularly unhelpful just overworked and under resourced. As is the kitchen which sadily has a poor menu. On the plus side the bar is very well stocked! Most of the problems stem from a well known ownership problem. Asyhu and Jenny the management are always very helpful and easy to deal with.
If you have kids and want a beautifully safe garden and pool for them to run around in then I would not hesitate to recommend it. If you need or want quick efficent service and good food sorry you will be frustrated.

Wouldn't recomend to stay in this hotel specially not with the prices they charge for a room.
Been staying here twice with my partner. The first time was not too bad. Except moving from room to room since they didn't have the room we wanted free. This was not due to any mix up at the hotel. But our own fault for not booking the right room from the start. So all in all i stayed at least one night in each of the rooms they got.
If to stay at this hotel, go for the garden room located at the back of the hotel. since it is further away from the bar.
this hotel is ok during off peak season.
The reasons for not going back to this hotel is many but here's a few
Hotel owners dogs barking all night just outside our room, Kids throwing themselfes of the little bridge in the pool with out any parental guidance, music being played extreamly loud(would not be turned down on request)
Dirty rooms, bathroom disgusting. Found afrog on my make up bag one morning. Owner of the hotel does not seem to care how the place is runned. The only thing i can say as a possitive is some of the staff Jennifer is very nice and friendly and i think she would be one of the few possitives about this hotel.

“Don't spoil your visit to Goa by staying here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2010

The hotel location is okay but the rooms are not at all good. We booked a garden view room and the room was very small. There was ac but no blanket, no water and sheets were not very clean. The bed was creaking and bathrooms were not good at all. The room was so small leaving no space for movement. There was no room service available. Every time we had to walk to the reception if we needed anything including drinking water. We had to talk to the management about changing the room, which they did but the room was only a tad bit better. Food was good and not that expensive. But we had complimentary breakfast that gave us no choice but to order one continental and one Indian breakfast. Continental breakfast contained 2 breads with butter and one small portion of water melon juice and Indian had just one aloo parantha. We were given no choice and had to stick to the same breakfast for the entire length of our visit. The service was okay and staff was cordial but comfort level was very less. I would not recommend this hotel for the price one will be paying.
