My wife and I stayed at the Mountain Laurel Inn and it was fantastic. It is really off the beaten path and if you are looking for peace and quiet it is great. There are five rooms in the guest house along with a separate Gathering Place with movies, games and snacks to choose from and then there is the main house where breakfast is served and books to check out. We were in the Bridal Room which has a feminine look (pink walls) and a queen size bed. We were there while it was cold so we didn't sit out on the porch, but the heater inside the room was top notch. We didn't worry about being cold.

The best part of our stay was breakfast which is prepared by the innkeeper, Sarah, and it was great. Different items each morning along with conversation with new friends made it worth the visit. You won't forget it anytime soon!

Sorry guys. I do NOT see what the hype is here. Yes, breakfast is good. It is quiet and off the beaten path...But that is where any enjoyment ends. The room was disheveled at best (broken decorations, dirty top sheet, naked hanging light in the middle of the room), certainly small and had a no curtains (despite the spot light out side the room). The "friendly dog" was more of a menace than anything. I like being in the country, but I would rather have camped than spent the money on this one.

Had the best time staying with Sarah and Sammie. Cozy, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful both mornings we were there. Love it!
We'll be back!!

I must say I truthfully had a wonderful stay for my first time at a B & B. Sarah made us feel right at home or might I say grandmothers house. It was so nice to have not just your boring bacon and egg b'fast but probaly some of the best french toast, biscuts, b'fast casserols, homemade jams that I have ever had. I was in heaven. The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. The walk to the falls was spectacular. My fiance I came to get married at Mountain Laurel Inn and we will be back!
