My husband's work had a family retreat here for a weekend. (I have no idea how much the rooms run- his company paid a group rate for them) Hotel was very clean but had the stuck in the 80's look to it throughout. It is very close to a lot of area attractions.
Beds were quite comfortable, room was clean and big. My youngest child is an 11 month old and I was fine with her crawling on the the floor. My room did not have a fridge or microwave- they were supposed to but they did bring them up when we asked them to.
We had the food catered there for the weekend during the conferences and it was AMAZING!! (Especially their chocolate cake)! The waitstaff was friendly and very helpful. I have small children and they were very gracious in attending to their needs (and messes while eating). Conference rooms were very nice.
Pool was nice & clean- just older.
My only complaint was the room we stayed always had very hot water when you turned it on. We called maintenance and they did come up to check it out. Turns out it was a building design flaw with the pipes and my room (and my friend's next to us) are at the end of the pipes so the hot water always get stuck in those rooms pipes somehow? We had to use a special technique (which was an inconvenience and a major safety issue for small children) to get lukewarm water (never cold though and this took a minute). The hotel did give us completely Starbucks (they could not move us- the hotel was full) and did seemed concerned about it but I was told the guests of that room always complain about it and it has never been fixed!
I stay at this motel several times a year, and have always found it to be very accomadating to our needs. It may be an old building, but it has been kept very nice and clean. Whatever our needs have been, the staff at the front desk has always handled them in a very professional and pleasant manner. The only problem I have is that the rates are not consistent. Even the front desk clerk said that they change every week.
While staying at the hotel are produced tornados that leave the city without power. The hotel does not have generators so for 4 days we were run out of hot water service, air conditioning, tv, telephone, wifi ..., the rooms have no windows that open. Also sent employees home and not attend the cleanliness of the hotel, room, trash removal, breakfasts, etc.
The hotel charges all contracted services without having been completed.
Claimed on their website indicate that answered in 7 days and never received response.
Liable to users via full collection of bills than they should collect from their insurance.
This was 2 hotels that are now under 1 name so there are 2 buildings separated by the parking lot. The lobby is in 1 and the conference center/breakfast room is in the other. The breakfast was huge! Very many choices and the attendant was very much on top of it replenishing and cleaning the tables. The staff was very nice. we would definitely stay here again.
