I specifically asked, when I checked in, for a room that was near the elevator. I was given a room as close to the elevator as you could possibly get. I was late for an appointment, so didn't change it, but slept terribly. So the next night, I went to bed early, and the person who had put me in the room, Destinee, called at 9:45PM to ask me how my stay had been. I told her it had been awful. The next day, when I checked out, I asked her to put $150 on an Expedia gift card, and the rest on the credit card I had given at check-in. When she handed me the receipt, all she had done was divide up the charges (not even 150, but two random amounts) and charged them both to the original credit card. After a few more tries, and much time, I gave up, Also, Destinee had no idea what channels are in the room, and was NOT helpful in that regard. And I am a Hilton Honors member. I find now on my credit card that I was overcharged for the stay, then that was cancelled, then another charge was made. Who trains these people?

This place gets great reviews so I stayed there. But my stay was marred by a false fire alarm at 4AM. The staff took almost an hour to resolve it. And, no one ever explained anything. Indeed, when the alarm started, no one would answer the phone. Throughout the stay the internet didn't work anywhere in the hotel. All the staff kept saying was "I am sooo sorry."

I must tell you we have never had a better experience before. From the time I called weeks before our visit to the area and spoke with Alyssa on the phone and she took the time to answer my questions and was so polite. When we checked in she was there and was just as awesome in person. Everyone we encountered were so friendly and always acknowledged you. The rooms were better than we expected. Very clean. Extra seating, a refrig and microwave. Beds were queen and very comfortable with extra pillows that had a variety of comfort levels. Bathrooms were very clean with plenty of counter space. We had a DND on our door and they still left a bag with clean towels and toiletries for us even though they did not come in. That was very nice. The breakfast was great. The staff...Chef Guy and Blondina and Tiffany and Demonria (Spelling) were so great. Food was awesome. It has been a very nice stay. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Huntsville. We tried Hilton's special the Great Get-A-Way rate and our special included the cooked to order breakfast. More than worth it. I hope they do more specials like these. You will not be disappointed. Try it today yourself.

We took three of our grandchildren to the Star Wars Exhibit and space museum. Enjoyed everything especially the hotel. Nice room, food, location.

As usual the boys ended up wanting to swim all the time.
