Well overpriced for a Marriott Facility. Had to call several times for assistance for the room. Not much attention on the cleaning. Rooms seemed to be turned over and not thorouhly cleaned.

Got a room for $50 through Priceline. The hotel is a bit older, but everything seems to be well maintained. The room was comfortable and quiet. Great beds and lots of pillows! We had access to wireless Internet in the room. Though the pool was closed, we did check out the whirlpool and it was clean and well maintained.

The Courtyard in Hoover is a bit dated, but nothing is 'worn out.' Only a breakfast buffet is offered (and a bit pricey for what it is), but they do have the little market off the front desk with snacks and beverages. Pillows in my king room were a bit squishy, but they have updated the TV's and they are all flat screens. The bad news is that they only appear to have WIRED internet service, it is free, but you are tethered.

The staff at the hotel front desk and cleaning team is very nice and friendly. Waitresses, well...you wouldn't guess that they work for tips.

Location of the property is great. Near the galleria mall so you have shopping and tons of dining options. One of the best is right next door at Jim 'n Nick's BBQ and the neighborhood (a business district) all seems pretty safe.

If you are looking for a clean hotel near lots of activities, this would be a pretty good hotel for you. Not much is within walking distance to be prepared to drive, even if it is only 2 or 3 mins. I paid about $87 + tax for the hotel and it was worth that

$52 on Priceline. Claims to be a 3 star, NOT at all! No glasses in room all plastic, no restaurant, just a breakfast buffet that should be free. No shuttle, but front desk was very helpful and friendly.
