“We Loved our stay there!!!”

My wife and I went down for the Labor day weekend but it got cut short due to the weather! We had reserved a room for 3 days. Got there on friday but had to leave on sat because of tropical storm Lee. When we arrived I went into the lobby and checked in and was in my room in less than 10 minutes. The room was very clean and there was no musty smell! Everything that was promised was in place. The shopping mall is right next door within walking distance and Applebees is also within walking distance! So you don't have to go very far to get what you need! The staff was very friendly and I received a phone call greeting me as soon as I walk into my room. The breakfast that was provided was very good as well. And even though our vacation was cut short we were not charged for the remaining 2 days! Don't really no what these other peoples problems were? But we had and excellant stay and will be back on our next vist to the Gulf. I would highly recommend Quality Inn to anyone planning a trip tp the Gulf. Thanks again to the staff of Quality Inn!! “HORRIBLE!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

Stayed here for one night. When I called I was told they only had a smoking room available. We are non smokers so I asked if the rooms smelled like smoke. Was told "No mam, we clean them with cleaner that gets the smell out". When we walked in, first thing that hit us was stale old cigarette smoke. When everybody took showers that night there was only 2 towels and could not get answer at desk to get more! We were up late that night fishing, slept over and called the front desk to tell them we did and would not be out by 11. they told us it was fine as long as out by 1. At 11:15 maintenance knocked on door to see why we weren't out yet. Then 5 min later front desk called to remind us check out was at 11. They were the ones that told us it was fine. Then I left my bathing suit, shirt and shorts hanging in the closet the night before to dry. I forgot them. Went back about 1 hour after we checked out, they only found the bathing suit. Yeah right! Where did my shirt and shorts go?? So...they lie and steal!! And room and bathroom were filthy! WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN!!

Please be aware that Quality Inn in Foley, is under new management. We have worked really hard to create a friendly invironment, as well as a professional staff at all times. The rooms are very clean, breakfast is wonderful, and with many items to choose from you won't go away hungry. Please stop by and see the new General Manager and let me introduce myself to you.

“Terrible place to stay”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

I can not think of one good thing to say about this place. I have stayed at Hampton Inn's and Country Inn and Suites, and never had a problem, but Quality Inn in Foley was nothing like these hotels. We were on the second floor, and right when we walked in we noticed the room had a old, musty smell. There were numerous problems in our room. The lamp by the table did not work. The digital clock was unplugged when we came in, and when we plugged it in, of course it didn't work either. The back to the TV remote was missing so the batteries could fall out. The maid never cleaned anything when she came, just made the beds. There was hair on our "clean" towels and washcloths. The Continental Breakfast was not great and not much to choose from. The hotel desk clerk was not friendly. Basically, the whole staff acted like they didn't want to be there. This hotel also advertises free wi-fi in the rooms, which was not true either. We will never stay at a Quality Inn again.

“Not So Quality Inn”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

I stayed here for a business trip for four nights. Before I carried my things into the room, I checked it out. Everything seemed OK, except for the shower. There was mold around the bottom of the handicap rail. I was like OK I can deal with that. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and an LCD TV. The room was fairly clean and the air conditioner worked fine. So as I settled into bed I turned off the lights. Then from behind the TV I saw a roach crawl up the wall & across the ceiling. I killed it a few seconds later. I woke the next day & went to work. When I got back that night, I found my key card not working, Needless to say I was kinda POed. I walked to the front desk (my room was on the other side of the hotel) and had the card juiced up again. I got back to my room...my wife (who is at home with 2 kids under 2) called on our prepaid phone. I told her to call the front desk and transfer to the room. Guess what ? She let it ring about 30 times & no one answered the phone. So, we had to use up precious minutes on our prepaid phone. Again, I settle in for the night, turn off the lights (TV still on), a roach crawls out on the wall behind the TV. I kill it. I wake up the next morning before I go to work, my wife tries to reach me again through the front desk, no one there again. As I leave for work, I go to the front desk to see why they are not picking up calls. The woman at the front desk tells me she was out giving info to the cleaning crew. I was like whatever, this week will be over soon. Once again, I get back to my room after another hard day at work, the key card does not work again, I walk to the front desk again. I felt like Groundhog Day, except in the middle of Summer 100 degrees with 85% humidity. Anyway, my wife tries calling me again the next night-They won't patch her call through to my room. She calls me again on the prepaid phone. She's on meltdown because of the kids and some low class motel won't let her talk to her husband. I have to call the front desk to tell them to let her call through. After 4 nights of not so quality service, and many visits to the front desk, my week came to an end. So to sum it up- DO NOT STAY HERE MORE THAN 1 NIGHT & bring a magazine to kill the roaches. The only good thing about this place is that it was close to where I was working & close to many fast food places. I will give it 2 stars for location.
