I stayed at this hotel several years ago while visiting my elderly mother at a nearby assisted living facility, and found it adequate, but not as updated as other properties I stayed at while working as a sales rep. Now retired with lots of priority club points, I decided to use them instead of staying with relatives. I checked in with just enough time to freshen up before joining my mother for dinner at her place. I could not believe the room - shabby, with peeling furniture, a drawer pull missing from the dresser, dirty carpet, very loud exhaust fan in the bathroom (that had a hair in the tub). The bathroom door could not open all the way due to hitting the toilet. The towels were worn, the lighting too bad to do makeup. I stopped by the front desk to complain and they agreed to change my room when I returned. When I returned I was given a new room and it was only a slight improvement, but after a closer look at the lobby and hallway (clearly dirty carpet, including lots of debris) I realized the entire place was on a downhill slide. In retrospect, I should have demanded a room at the new addition. I stayed two more very uncomfortable nights and left. No one from the hotel ever attempted to see if I was happy with the room change, or with any sort of apology. The location and lack of negative reviews probably account for lots of traffic, leaving management not motivated to spend any money to upgrade or fix any problems. But there is no excuse for bad housekeeping.
I will never return.
