Our time (2 nights) spent at Hotel VIP continental was a loosy experience. Given the price paid in semi-luxury room, I expected more compared to what we got :
--> staff kept asking tip each time them moved their little finger. I had to get them out of the room because they stood there, waiting to be tipped if they brought a water bottle
--> our room did not get cleaned at all during the whole 3 days we were there !!
--> the room smelled of cigarette and was extremely noisy. The staff told me concerning the cigarette smell that it was "air freshner" . Yeah, right.
--> The shower was not functionning properly. I have to use the bucket to shower.
--> the bed was not comfy : there was a wood board under the mattress, and no bed base
--> customer service was non existant. Only the nice doorman was nice and smiley all the time !
--> I had to phone the room service 3 times each morning to get breakfast. Service was way too long.
--> portions for the "complimentary" breakfast were ridiculously small.
--> we got charged for an extra day because we slight went over the noon checkout. That was truly not needed.
