I stayed here with my family for 4 nights and did not face any problem. The rooms are small but the amenities work well. The staff is courteous and the food is good. The hotel is in a bylane off Camac Street which is a very good area. Overall I would rate the stay as a fairly decent one for the price it afforded.

Well it is a cheap but very average hotel.
The staff are helpful but always expects some tips. Room service is somehow okay.
Only plus: it is in a very good location for shopping.

I was in Kolkata for a couple of days and stayed at VicTerrace. The location is very convenient and the stay was nice. THe rooms are a bit cramped but does provide value for the money one has to pay. The food was served in the room and was quick and reasonable. The room didn't allow much freedom to do much work, but amenities worked and the service was good. Overall, I would recommend Viterrace for someone looking for a budget hotel in the heart of Kolkata.
