I had to travel to Kolkata on an extremely short notice of less than a day for work purpose & hence I reserved a hotel room for myself wherever I could without thinking twice. A little advice from our business Kolkata made me to land up in Hotel Akash Deep at Park Circus. The journey from NSCBI Airport to the hotel took a little less than 2½ hours. On reaching the hotel after a hectic journey, I wasn’t too pleased to see either the lobby or my room. The lobby ends before you actually realize that it has started & the room was too small, congested & shabby.

There isn’t a great deal of room service offered as such by the hotel & would definitely not like to turn up again at this hotel the next time around when I’ve to stay in the ‘City of Joy’.

Checking out wasn’t a good experience either as the hotel’s credit-card-swipe equipment stopped working. Since I wasn’t carrying too much cash on me & also had a flight to be taken from the airport for my onward journey. I had to literally run to the nearest ATM machine about half a kilometer from the hotel to withdraw cash for settlement of my hotel bills.

All and all it was a horrifying experience to stay at this hotel & I do not recommend other travelers to choose this place for their stay in the city.
