i had a short 1 nite stay at this resort.... it provides all possible amenities and facilities of a resort.. good maintenance,good food, nice pool and spa... its like a place where u just want to relax and enjoy the nature rivrside,., one drawback is that this place has nothing else if u come out of th resort premises.. the area is still very rural.. its like a 5 star in a village.. but a short trip worth it

I stayed at the FFort, Raichak as this hotel is now known as as a part of a weekend Business getaway meeting organised by my company. We had a group booking of around 20 and the hotel arranged for a pickup from Kolkata airport. The hotel is about 3-4 hours from Kolkata but once you reach there you will be amazed by the greenery and scenic beauty. The hotel being situated on the river Hoogly has a beautiful view of the river. The property is well maintained and has a variety of outdoor activities though we didnt get time to try all. Food at the restaturant is reasonably good. I didnt get time to try the Spa which this resort is well known for. The disc appeared almost vacant with just a few couples. Rooms are not too spacious but are comfortable and have a good view of the gardens inside the hotel. The toilets dont appear to be well ventilated leaving you desiring for more from a resort of this class. Overall we had a good weekend and though it was a short trip we enjoyed our stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Ffort for one day. The location, the view and the silence away from the hustle of Kolkata was beautiful. That said, the property could be managed better. The rooms were musty, the ameneties very ordinary. Fair amount of the hotel was under construction. Although this was not the peak time, the restaurant turned out very good food. For the prices being charged, the hotel could be better. The beautiful view of the river compensated for the shortcomings. If you are looking for a short escape from Kolkata and willing to put up with the shortcomings, stay here. Otherwise, pass. Not worth the money.
