I recently traveled to Kolkata and happened to stay at Kenilworth. This is the perfect example of a good business hotel. The location is very good, which is very near to Park street. Rooms are clean and well maintained.I would like the service to improve, but would definitly stay here on my next visit.

I visited Kolkata on business and this was a company booked accommodation. So will not comment on the value The best part about the hotel is its location, which is right in the middle of Kolkata's business district. On pleasant days, you can probably walk to Park Street, where a lot of businesses are situated. Rooms are well equipped and professionaly maintained and the restaurant downstairs dishes our good stuff, though I base this on the breakfast I had.

Parking maybe a little tight as the street is cramped. Also, you might run straight into a traffic jam, once you get out of the hotel.

Location is not suitable if your business is in Salt Lake. We had a horrible time getting to airport during the heavy rains.

I had stayed in Kenilworth during my visit to Kolkata in Nov'11. I found that the rooms were nicely decorated, cleaned and was spacious as well. I had a good experience with the room service as well as other staff. I found their garden beautiful and relaxing.
I think that Kenilworth is worth staying for the executives who are travelling for Business perpective.
Overall, I had a good experience staying at Kenilworth, Kolkata.

A nice hotel, good rooms and a pleasant walled garden which was one of the main reasons we choose the hotel. However, the only smile we got was from the security guard on the front door. Guests werent allowed in the garden for 2 of our 5 evenings as they were hosting private parties for non guests which was unacceptable. Felt if we were being shepherded into our rooms. That and the fact that they loads of noise putting up a stage in the early hours one morning and a band that shook the hotel. I'd go there for a corporate party but certainly not as a guest. Almost forgot...barman blatantly filling the spirits up with water one afternoon. Not that funny when they charge Monaco prices for alcohol.
