This hotel can easily pass of as a luxury hotel as well.. if not just a business hotel. Pity, that I stayed only for one night and would not be able to comment on the food quality. Also being new to Kolkata, I wouldnt know about the location as well.

The hotel looked pretty new and hence very clean and well maintained. Although there was too much bling in the way the rooms have been done up, this could be the USP of the hotel to differentiate itself from the usual drab looking business hotels.

Surprisingly, Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Stayed there twice in Oct '11 and found it was good value for the money (5100). The location is excellent. Walked all the way to Maidan, Park Street, Sudder Street from there. I liked the air conditioned and fresh (lemon) smelling hallways. The bed sheets were not clean enough for my standards. Had them exchanged but still there were stains on the fresh sheets. They need to wash them better. Room service is a bit slow and we had communication troubles (language barrier). The ordered food was always excellent.

I usually stay in this hotel while i travel to Kolkata for business trips. Located in the heart of the city, with cool, sleek & niche interiors, this hotel offers what a big luxury hotel has to offer. The rooms are beautifully designed with each room offering a different colour to choose from & an equally asthetic attached toilet with glass see thru.

All in all, a perfect hotel to stay for business or with family/friends closer to the main Park street. Book at a decent time, and you can get a good rate. Lastly, one suggestion - buffet breakfast needs inprovement.
