Hotel is in dharamtala , crowded and central place of kolkata. You will not like surrounding atmosphere as it is apart of older calcutta and hotel location is like odd man out.However if you enter the hotel ambience is good, rooms are smaller in size but well maintained and with all modern amenities. Room service is average.Hotel has got vegetarian restaurant which is good. In the breakfast menu you will very limited choice and typical calcutta breakfast puri-sabji.I stayed in the hotel many a times for businss trip.

Good place to stay but Surrounding are not very good. Rooms, service and Food is acceptable. You will get complementary breakfast.

I had to visit Kolkata for a business meeting with a short notice. I wanted to stay as close as possible to my clients place and hence checked into Mayur Residency. The hotel looks extremely good from outside. The staff can be a little more warm. The rooms have a unique smell. The bathrooms are not so well kept. The bed has a mattress that is a foot deep. I had severe back problems when i was put up at this place. However, the room looks good and the flooring is also pleasing. The hotel offers only canned juices and has a limited choice. The service by the hotel staff has a lot of scope for improvement. The ambiance outside the hotel is not great either, there are slums right on the main road adjoining the hotel. The hotel has a great scope to improve.
