Our stay at Snowlion home-stay was great. The rooms are good. Very friendly people.Food was good.We stayed there for a week and it was a great experience.We could see the Mt Kanchenjunga from our room.The room was big and spacious. Thanks to the lovely people in the homestay which made us comfortable and at home.

My stay at the Snowlion was a good one. This is a no fuss kind of place. Everything worked (geysers, taps, lights, Tv and the remote too!). The rooms were furnished well enough. The place was clean. It is slightly uphill maybe a 100 mtrs. from the town square which was good.

The best part though was that we had checked in on the first day of a 2 day strike and though the hotel doesn't have a restaurant they were happy enough to serve us for 2 days.

Snowlion is a good place to be at if you just want to laze around and spend your time by chilling out Indoors.

The hotel is a symbol of Tibetan Culture and Heritage.
The facilities provided by the hotel is average. Rooms are also average and economy.
Great view of Kanchenjunga Range and Tea Gardens from hotel and located in the heart of the city.

Very cosy place run by helpful, kind Tibetan family. Rooms are very decent and place is attractively furnished. Too bad that the incense provoked asthma attacks: not the family's fault at all but perhaps an incense-free floor would overcome this problem for travellers?
