I stayed in hotel pandian, which is the one i enjoyed, the most pleasant stay.

I was badly misled by Pandian Hotel Chennai claiming 2 star status. or use of words " 2 star ".
It is a seedy, dirty hotel in dirty stinking crowded street. Bed sheets full of holes Stinking Blankets and Towels. Dirty (full of layers of muck ) Buckets and Mugs in bath room. A chair provided when a bathing stool is requested. No internal phone numbers in the rooms.
Seedy Bar with torn dirty Menu cards Torn upholstery in dining hall.
waiters in stinking dirty uniforms. Mosquitoes eat you up at travel desk providing taxis with No uniform and no license..Customer to shall out to cops to continue to airport.

Front office fully non professional ,informed to get the bill ready the previous night and at 87AM again on 14 Nov 2011, nothing done. Guy did not know how to work out the bill..needed Operations Manager to make the bill..

To top it all Original bill not given..only a photo copy given..why...

I was in Hotel Pandian,Chennai in Singe Bed A/C room accommodation for 1 day.I found that the Hotel Manager was not courteous.He took half an hour to check out how the booking was done and he was not bothered that the customer is waiting with the luggage.He did not even bothered to offer a glass of water.When I entered the room the a/c was not working even the room was a/c .I had to personally follow up for the same and get it rectified.I should say the service definitely needs improvement.The location of the Hotel is good,walking distance from Egmore Railway Station and near by to Shankar Netralaya for which I visited Chennai.

The room was described as Executive but was incredibly basic, sirty and small. There was no internet or Wifi as advertised on the website and we were bitten by bed bugs whilst there. Linens were dirty (which seemed to be the case in most places) and was overall a poor experience. On the positive the restaurant provided reasonable food at ok prices.
