I highly recommend this place! We heard about Garden Villa Homestay through our friends who stayed here a few years ago. I had never used Trip Advisor before, so knowing our friends gave a glowing personal recommendation, we booked with Capt. Singh.
Not only did he provide a wonderful place to stay during our time in Jaipur and also give recommendations on places to eat and visit in the city, but he arranged ALL of our travel during our time in the Golden Triangle - starting with a taxi pick-up from the Delhi airport to his homestay, taxi during our time in Jaipur (and drink reservations for the 7-star hotel on New Years Eve), taxi to Agra (and Taj) and taxi back to Delhi.
My husband and I stayed in a double-room, which gave us plenty of space, our own bathroom and a personal balcony. Our room was serviced every day and clean. We took advantage of ordering room service a few times (for snacks, cokes and coffee - and also an Indian meal one night for dinner). The staff was friendly and our continental breakfast each morning was great.
You can tell Capt. Singh loves hosting travelers and takes pride in his service. He and his staff are always available to make sure your needs are met and help you enjoy your time in Jaipur! As in all cultures, there can be language barriers, so I was direct in asking for taxi arrangment prior to our arrival and outlining all of our needs and details.
During your time in Jaipur, I would recommend seeing the Amber Fort (if you go early, you can ride an elephant up for around $10). The monkey temple was a fun experience but just be careful of people wanting to take you up the mountain outside of the actual area. We stayed in Jaipur three days, which I felt was plenty of time to see everything (our first day was our first day in India so we needed a day to catch up on the time-change).
