“Home in Jaipur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

The guesthouse of Manoj, Smita, Kinshuk and Minla is more a large home for visiters than an actual guesthouse. Even before arriving Manoj made us feel safe by giving a clear deal and being helpful. We went on a short wild life trip with Manoj outside Jaipur as he is most commited in giving his guest a good experience. On new years eve, the family cooked delicious Indian food and celebrated in a homey atmosphere. The rooms are really nice and quite big tidely clean compared to some Indian standards. No hot water for us, but we didn't ask for any hot water, and I'm sure it would be provided if needed. We stayed upon the rooftop and it was so beautiful waking up with the sun rising in the mist and the view over Jaipur. The boy Raja is really helpful and kind in spite of the smaller english vocabulary as too is the kids of Manoj and Smita. We felt safe the whole time, and the area around is quite nice, but not too quiet. They are more than happy to guide and give advice about being safe in the city(avoiding scams and hostile situations) and sights in Jaipur and around.

This family and place has totally disproved the saying about 'never trust an Indian' as they are sincere and welcoming!

Room Tip: The room on the rooftop is warm in winter

“Family run, welcoming, delicious food. Great for a quiet stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

We arrived late at night, our tuk tuk driver gave us a convincing talk on how far away the hotel was, and proceeded to go round the houses to make it seem far from the main town. Don’t listen to the tuk tuks! They are on commission. It is far from the train station, but it is the same distance from the same city as the main backpacker area close to the train station. The guesthouse/homestay is not signposted, but it is where they say it is! Look out for the big wooden double gate (think castle gate).

The owner does offer a pickup, but we missed his email so were unable to take it. There is not much in the area, except a large mall. It is a nice and quiet residential road, so no hassle from tuk tuks, but there are no restaurants or bars in the area.

The food served at the hotel is well priced and cooked by the wife (I’m so sorry, I forgot her name) who has a PhD in nutrition! The food is wonderful and plentiful. The family are helpful and very accommodating. When we stayed, we were lucky enough to be there on the wife’s birthday, instead of saying we had to eat out, they still cooked for us, and even gave us a piece of birthday cake. This shows how accommodating the family are and how they want to share your holiday experience with you.

When we arrived some of the rooms were slightly water damaged, so the doors would not close all the way. The owners quickly found us another room with a closing door. This was in Sept, so I am sure the rooms are fixed by now. Other than that, the rooms are clean, spacious and decorated with embroidered pictures! A good view from the rooftop breakfast area.

Our Stay at Snehdeep will always be a memory for lifetime......there is a lot that I can write about this place and about the owner Mr.Manoj....whatever he promised us through emails and on phone was provided...the place is run by Manoj and his family....the best part is the roof top resturant where you can sit n enjoy the hill view and starlet sky....the hospitality provided in snehdeep is real value for money...a place where you feel important and welcomed...each and every need is taken care of....manoj takes special interest in his guests and their needs....I remember we wanted to have dinner in the guest house but we got late in informing him...I called him up n it being a sunday he had his own plans still at such a short notice he cooked nice food for us....also he is so well informed about jaipur that he can plan your entire day as per your interest....bottam line is if you want to stay at a place where you wana relax and enjoy your stay consider Snehdeep...

“Another Home in Jaipur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

We stayed in Snehdeep from 18 to 21 Nov 2011.
Trip Plan - One of my friend who is going to be relocated to US within couple of months has planned this trip .I left all the travel arrangements to him and asked him to get a quiet decent hotel within our budget. He told me about this guest house 2 days before the trip .I looked at Trip advisor and found lot of good reviews but past experience with budget guest houses are not good so i was little bit apprehensive.Anyways i thought lets see .
Initially we had planned to leave at 4:00 in the morning to avoid day traffic on Delhi Jaipur highway but after some discussion ,it was decided that we should leave at 2:00 AM and reach jaipur before mad traffic comes out. But the problem is that ,we had already intimated Manoj (owner) about our 4:00 AM plan . Again we have called him in middle of night (at 12:30 AM i guess) and hoping that he would be agree to give us room before normal check in time . I was surprised when he picked up the phone at such odd time and said that you are welcome as the family room is empty and you can check in anytime after 6:00 AM .This gesture is not as usual shown by business minded hotels .When we reached there at 8:00 ,Manoj was there to welcome us .we stayed at first floor and booked Family room which is big enough for 5 people .Room was pretty clean and nicely decorated. Washroom was small but clean .
When we discussed what places to visit in Jaipur ,he prepared our 3 day itinerary. He told us about food joints and famous markets . I found him a very knowledgeable person who loves to share his knowledge with guests . Food was really good and homely not like typical restaurant types. Do not forget to visit terrace of snehdeep ,where you can sit and enjoy quiet view of mountains around Jaipur. Also ask Manoj to join you if he is free. He is a really interesting person and gives you lot of information about jaipur and rajasthan.Overall , i would recommend it to anyone who is looking for budget stay and want to spend good time in Jaipur .Next time i would be surely going to snehdeep only . Thanks to Manoj for all the hospitality and making our stay a memorable one .

Room Tip: Book Family room if you are going in group ,it is cheap and best

“A home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 March 2011

This is a bungalow located in a quiet, residential area, with the extra rooms let out to guests. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Manoj, and his family into their home. Our rooms, located on the second floor (which required us to climb up & down a bit), were clean, adequately furnished and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They have converted their terrace into an open-air restaurant where a variety of scrumptious, home-cooked (by Mrs. Manoj) meals are served. Mr. Manoj even arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport on account of our flight getting delayed. I'd definitely want to stay here again.
