“A wonderful place to stay”

I recently spent 2 weeks in this hotel and I have to say that I was really very impressed given its very reasonable price. The staff could not have been more helpful and charming. The food was delicious given the size of the kitchen although I would suggest sticking to the Indian side of the menu and the garden is a wonderful place to have breakfast whilst relaxing in the sunshine. Our room was very spacious although we did find our mattresses rather hard. The staff were more than happy to swap them though so don't be afraid to ask. Our room was spotless when we arrived and it and our bathroom were cleaned daily with clean sheets and towels. When we left the staff asked us to give them some feedback as we had spent so much time there. I found it very difficult to find a fault.

“Quiet respite from hectic Jaipur.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We spent 3 lovely nights in this villa and had a good time there. They are in a slightly residential area of Jaipur but pretty close to the old city (70Rs by tuktuk). Being on a residential street the villa is mostly quiet besides the construction happening around the building. The staff are generally quiet helpful but the front office staff don't seem to know the definitive answer to many enquiries about tourist sites (which seems to be a common thing in India). We were told conflicting things about whether major tourist sites were open on the Republic Day and reception staff at any hotel should be able to provide a solid answer. However, they were more helpful with how much to pay between locations using a tuk tuk.
The staff worked as quickly as they could even though it seemed like the restaurant was understaffed some times so be prepared to wait a little bit for your breakfast. We only ate breakfast and one dinner in the villa but best to stick to Indian food as the pasta we had was very underwhelming.
You can only order beer to your room but if you're careful you could probably sneek it into the garden at night. The garden is a beautiful place to have breakfast and afternoon tea (thumbs up and wedges is the perfect combo!), especially after a hectic day walking around in old Jaipur.

“Clean rooms, hard beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

The rooms and bathroom are spotlessly clean. The beds are very hard (they seem to be made of some kind of rush matting) which makes getting a good night's sleep difficult. The staff were helpful although sometimes hard to find when trying to order food. The breakfast was good, however the other meals were mediocre at best. The location is quite good-near station on a quiet street. The garden is lovely and quiet - a great space to relax in. If the beds had matresses this would be a good option.
