This is what a heritage hotel should be like. We stayed at hotel Mandawa Haveli in Jaipur for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in one of the rooms in the corner tower (pool side, facing the garden) and it felt like staying in a luxurious suite. Our room had a lounge, really comfortable bed, enormous flat screen TV and the most beautiful bathroom (with a lot of marble). The service was really good and professional, the laundry service convenient and the hotel restaurant was very nice. Breakfast was served as a buffet with a lot of choices, continental, American and Indian. Dinner was great as well, with an extensive menu with both Indian choices as European dishes. The swimming pool was a welcome way to cool off after a long, hot day of sightseeing.
When we wanted to stay in the room until 16.00 hours (check out is at noon), this was no problem and we could stay free of charge.
The hotel location is good, about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk to Wind Palace, the Observatorium, Albert Hall and City Palace. Amber Fort is a 20 minute drive.
If you would like to stay in a really good hotel in Jaipur, with great service and facilities, I would really recommend hotel Mandawa Haveli.
